The Plains of Washington - Day 4

After a brief climb out of Coulee Dam, we are on our way to Spokane. We rode on gently rolling hills surrounded by green cropland for most of the day. Although this area of Washington is considered desert due to its being east of the moisture capturing Cascade Mountains, irrigation from the Coulee Dam supports this vast verdant crop producing region. Tom and Ruth(CA) and Jim(IA) and Lori(IA) are enjoying the view at one of our am water stops.
