On the Road to Niagara Falls - Day 49
After breakfast at Grace United Church in Port Dover, we headed off to Niagara Falls. The best part of the morning was the 10 mile ride on Lakeshore Road on the north shore of Lake Erie. Cottages lined the road across from rocky and sandy beaches being gently lapped by the blue-green waters of the lake. At one cottage 10 women were having a yard sale and cheered us on as we rode by. Next there was a coffee stop in Dunville, lunch in Wellandport and at mile 63 a ferry ride across the Welland Canal. The ferry used to cross the Welland Canal is in the picture. The ferries keep getting smaller and smaller. After a short ride we arrived at Princess Margaret School in Niagara Falls our campsite for the next two nights.
