Badlands National Park - The Moonscape - Day 27

This morning we rode 2 miles from the campground to breakfast at the Cedar Pass Lodge which is a restaurant and gift shop just inside the Badlands National Park entrance.  Then it was off for the next 23 miles to ride through the Park and marvel at its scenery.  The weather was clear and excellent for a very pleasant ride.  This group of pictures presents the moonscape look of the park.  It is beautiful but barren.  One mile before the end of the Park we had a challenging .6 mile climb at 10% grade which bought us to the highest overlook shown in the picture with the people.  After that it was a quick downhill and exit from the Park.
